India’s Plans For Coronavirus Vaccination Drive – Read

0

According to media reports, Anganwadi centres, schools and panchayat buildings will be used as vaccination sites for the anti-coronavirus inoculation drive in India. This drive will be monitored by the Union health ministry’s digital platform and the government plans of keeping a track of the beneficiaries using SMSes and QR codes.

“The vaccination sites will not be limited to just healthcare facilities. Such centres would also be set up in Anganwadi centres, schools, panchayat buildings and other such setups as identified by state governments,” a source told PTI.

The people of the country who are in the immunisation list will have to link their Aadhaar cards in an attempt by the government to avoid duplication and also track beneficiaries. However, on the off chance that a person doesn’t have an Aadhaar card, any government-issued photo id can be used.

The novel coronavirus pandemic has led to thousands of deaths and has debilitated an already staggering global economy. With businesses being closed indefinitely due to the lockdowns, nobody is quite certain when the economy will stabilize. Now, according to media reports, COVID-19 may have put the world’s largest theatre chain out of business.

According to Indiewire, AMC Theatres told regulators that they do not when businesses will return to normal and stated that loans may not be enough to stabilize their financial needs.

“We may not be able to obtain additional liquidity and any relief provided by lenders, governmental agencies, and business partners may not be adequate and may include onerous terms,” the 8K filing stated. “Due to these factors, substantial doubt exists about our ability to continue as a going concern for a reasonable period of time.”
